A Quiet Perk Most Hyatt Members Never Think About

World of Hyatt runs a standing promotion that most members scroll past without registering: 500 bonus points per night at hotels newly added to the Hyatt portfolio. No opt-in required, no registration page to hunt down. If you check in with your World of Hyatt number and pay an eligible rate - or redeem a free night certificate using points - the bonus posts automatically. At TPG’s September 2026 valuations, those 500 points are worth $8 per night. Not life-changing on a single stay, but across a week-long trip, that’s an extra $56 in points value on top of whatever base points the stay already earns.

The window to earn is tight. Bonus points only apply if your checkout date falls within the property’s designated offer period, which typically runs for the first few months after a hotel opens. Each property on the list carries its own deadline, and those deadlines vary widely - some close at the end of September 2026, others stretch to December 31. Groups, conventions, tour packages, and special rate programs don’t qualify. One room per night is the ceiling; multi-room bookings don’t multiply the bonus. Hyatt’s terms allow three to four weeks for the points to post, though in practice the bonus tends to appear alongside the base points earned from the stay itself.

Where the New Properties Are in the United States

Thirteen US properties are currently on the list, spread across a range of Hyatt brands - from the upper-midscale Hyatt Select tier to the apartment-style Hyatt Studios and the lifestyle-focused Hyatt Centric. The geographic spread is deliberately unglamorous: these are airport corridors, suburban business districts, and secondary markets that don’t generate many headlines but do generate steady travel demand.

In the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast, Hyatt Select Philadelphia Airport in Essington, Pennsylvania, runs through October 31, while Hyatt Studios Mechanicsburg - also in Pennsylvania - opened September 23 and qualifies through December 31. Hyatt Select Williamsburg in Virginia runs from September 3 to December 31, and Hyatt Select Valdosta in Georgia covers September 8 to December 31. Hyatt Studios Chesapeake, Virginia, has a shorter window ending September 30. Monroe Township, New Jersey, has a Hyatt House Monroe / Cranbury / South Brunswick qualifying through November 30.

In the Midwest and South, Hyatt Select Louisville North in Jeffersonville, Indiana, qualifies through November 30. Hyatt Centric Downtown St. Louis opened September 22 and runs through December 31 - the most city-center option on the US list. Hyatt Studios Texarkana in Texas closes October 31. On the West Coast, both Hyatt Place Ontario Airport and Hyatt House Ontario Airport in Ontario, California, qualify through October 31, and Hyatt House Portland Airport in Oregon extends through November 30.

The newest addition on the US list is Hyatt Place Asheville Airport in Arden, North Carolina, which opened September 24 and qualifies through December 31.

International Properties Worth Knowing

The international roster spans more dramatic geography. In Europe, Hyatt Regency London Olympia qualifies through October 31 - a straightforward choice for anyone already planning a London stay who holds World of Hyatt membership. Me and All Hotel Leipzig in Germany closes October 31, and Parian Chronicle Hotel Paros in Greece, photographed against the Aegean, runs through the same date.

Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, gets a notable entry: Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana qualifies through November 30. Grand Hyatt Grand Cayman Resort & Spa in Grand Cayman has the longest Caribbean window, running from September 30 to December 31. Hyatt Place Piedras Negras in Mexico qualifies through October 31.

In Asia, six properties in China are on the list. UrCove Beijing Wangjing 798 Art Zone runs through October 31. Hyatt Place Jiaxing Nanhu closes September 30, while Hyatt Regency Jiaxing Nanhu runs from September 28 to December 31 - both in the same city, giving travelers two tiers to choose from. UrCove Kashgar Wanda Plaza qualifies through November 30. UrCove Nanjing Confucius Temple Xinanli Resort and Hyatt Place Tianjin South Railway Station both close September 30.

South Korea adds Hyatt Place Seoul Pangyo in Seongnam, running through September 30. Thailand contributes The Barai Hua Hin through September 30. India has two entries: Hyatt Place Vithalapur in Ahmedabad through October 31, and Hyatt Regency Kochi Malayattoor through November 30. Beldersoy Resort & Spa in Uzbekistan qualifies through October 31 - the most geographically unusual entry on the entire list.

Canada and the Caribbean Rounding Out the Map

Canada contributes two properties that reward anyone already planning regional travel. Hyatt Select Kingston in Kingston, Ontario, opened September 8 and qualifies through December 31. The Clayfield in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, runs from September 17 to December 31 - a wine-region property with one of the longer eligibility windows on the international list.

These aren’t properties to plan a trip around solely for the points bonus. But for travelers who were already considering the Niagara region or Ontario’s eastern corridor, the 500-point nightly addition is a reasonable secondary benefit.

How to Make Sure the Points Actually Post

The mechanics are straightforward but worth stating clearly. You must provide your World of Hyatt membership number at check-in - not retroactively added later, though Hyatt’s general missing-points process exists as a fallback. Eligible rates include standard paid rates and award redemptions using Hyatt points or free night certificates. What’s excluded: group rates, convention rates, promotional packages, tour packages, and special rate programs. If your booking falls under any of those categories, the 500-point bonus won’t apply regardless of the property’s eligibility period.

Only one room per reservation earns the bonus. If you book two rooms for a family, the second room receives no additional 500-point bump.

The points usually post with the stay’s base earnings, often within a few days of checkout. The official timeline allows three to four weeks, so if points don’t appear immediately, that’s within the stated parameters before contacting member services.

Finally, it’s worth checking Hyatt’s official participating properties list before booking rather than relying solely on this overview - offer periods can be updated or corrected, and the list at any given moment reflects the most current deadlines. The Parian Chronicle Hotel Paros, for instance, has an October 31 cutoff that leaves very little runway for fall Mediterranean travel, while Grand Hyatt Grand Cayman’s window through December 31 offers considerably more flexibility for year-end travel planning.

At $8 per night in points value, the bonus won’t offset a room rate - but across a five-night stay at Hyatt Regency Kochi Malayattoor or The Barai Hua Hin, that’s $40 in points returning to your account without any additional spend.
